India post has notified regarding the post of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants/ Postal Assistants (Returned Letter Offices)/ Postal Assistants (Foreign Post Organization)/ Postal Assistants (Circle and Regional Offices) and Postal Assistants (Mail Motor Services) for the year 2013-14 in 22 postal circles in the country.

India Post SA/PA Exam Pattern 2014
The recruitment pattern for India post SA/PA Exam will be conducted in two phases. First phase includes written examination of 100 marks for duration of 2 hours and the second phase includes the typing skill test. Typing test will be valid for candidates who qualify the written examination. The duration of typing test will be conducted for 30 minutes (includes 15 minutes for typing and 15 minutes for data entry) that consists of one passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi.

- Candidates must have passed intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Age limit for PA/SA was 18 to 27 years for candidates belonging to General category.
- Upper age limit relaxed for 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC category.
- Upper age limit relaxed for 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 10 years for candidates of physically handicapped category.
